The Merak Migration Tool lets you migrate from an old mail server to Merak Mail Server. It can automatically open domains and e-Mail accounts on the new Merak Mail Server and transfer the old e-mails of the old mail server.

Merak Migration Tool is installed on the same computer as the Merak Mail Server.

For the migration the new mail server will be set to the IP of the old one. The old mail server receives a temporary IP. If a customer accesses via POP3 the mail server, Merak notices that the account is not yet open and consults the old mail server with the POP3 user name and password. The new e-Mail account is created on the new Mail Server and the e-Mails are then transferred from the old mail server to this new account on the new mail server.
